Epilepsy WA has had a vibrant and eventful few months, and we’re incredibly grateful for the continued support from our community. Many generous individuals have hosted fundraising events on our behalf, and we deeply appreciate their efforts in helping us raise awareness and vital funds.
Despite challenging weather, supporters showed up in force for the HBF Run for a Reason, making us their ‘reason to run’. Our CEO, Emma Buitendag, was part of a team that participated in the Busselton 100, running in honour of West Australians who have tragically lost their lives to epilepsy.
We were proud to host a stand at the Government House Open Day, where we connected with attendees and shared information about our services. Adding a touch of fun, our beloved mascot Sunny Bunny participated in the WA Day Mascot Race at Optus Stadium, which was even broadcast on TV!
As the end of the financial year approaches, we kindly ask you to consider making a tax-deductible donation to Epilepsy WA, if you are in a position to do. Your generosity enables us to continue delivering essential services, education, and support to the epilepsy community across Western Australia. Every contribution, no matter the size, makes a difference.
Looking ahead, we’re excited to be launching a new information workshop on Seizure Alert Devices here in our Nedlands office. Bookings are essential and the workshops are free for EWA members.
Our most anticipated event of the year, the Purple Shadow Gala Ball 2025, is coming in November. It promises to be a memorable evening of celebration, community, and purpose.
