Staff Training and Community Support
Epilepsy WA offers comprehensive training for your school staff and supports your school community to effectively meet the needs of children living with epilepsy.
We provide a free children’s book library about epilepsy and various free resources to aid your school community. With 1 in 200 children living with an epilepsy diagnosis, it’s essential that school staff are equipped to understand this complex condition and feel confident in responding to seizures. This knowledge ensures that children living with epilepsy have the best opportunity to reach their full potential.
Our programs also assist schools in reducing risk and fulfilling their duty of care.
Schools that train their staff, maintain up-to-date care plans, and hold awareness events or casual dress days to combat misconceptions about epilepsy will be proudly recognised by Epilepsy WA.
