This edition features some exciting updates, including confirmation that the Senate Inquiry into Epilepsy will hold a hearing in Western Australia on 27 August, providing an important opportunity for people living with epilepsy, families, carers and health professionals to have their voices heard.
We are also excited to announce that Step 4 Epilepsy WA returns this September. Set your own step goal, raise awareness, fundraise for a great cause, and help bring epilepsy out of the shadows, one step at a time.
Alongside these key updates, we highlight the many ways Epilepsy WA continues to support the community. From our highly valued support groups across Perth, Bunbury and online, to our Compassionate Ear Support Service, we are committed to ensuring no one impacted by epilepsy feels alone. You’ll also find information about our Seizure Alert Device Information Session and Loan Program, helping people explore technologies that may improve safety and independence.
For families, carers, support workers and professionals, we also share details of our upcoming Epilepsy and Seizure First Aid and Emergency Anti-Seizure Medication Administration training sessions, designed to build confidence and provide practical skills that can make a real difference.
