October is Seizure Safety Month for Epilepsy WA. It’s a month dedicated to raising awareness of how those living with this common condition can reduce their risk of epilepsy-related harm. This inaugural awareness month also focuses on the importance of the WA community learning seizure first aid, and empowers people who are living with seizures with the necessary knowledge and resources to navigate life as safely as possible. 1 in 25 people will be diagnosed with epilepsy and 1 in 10 people will have a seizure in their lifetime.
